Non-covered price FAQ

Published

Korea Non-covered Medical Price Statistics answers questions about disclosed non-covered prices in Korea.

It does not answer which hospital is cheapest; for an institution’s price, use HIRA’s official service.

What do these non-covered price questions cover?

Questions about the data, its sources and how to use it, not questions about individual hospitals.

What else do people ask about non-covered prices?

Where can I see official non-covered prices in Korea?

HIRA publishes them by item and institution on its official service. This site summarises them into ranges.

Why does this site not show the price at each hospital?

A table of institution names and prices can work as comparative medical advertising. Use HIRA’s official service for an institution’s price.

Are the prices official?

The underlying prices are disclosed to HIRA. Minimums, quartiles, medians and USD values are calculated by this site.

Why are some figures marked as pending?

A figure is shown only after the disclosure year and reference date are confirmed.

Does this site collect personal data?

No. There are no forms, and the tools calculate in your browser without sending or storing anything.

Is a non-covered price the final amount I pay?

Not necessarily. Actual charges can differ, and covered parts of care are billed separately.

Where do these numbers come from?
